Monday night saw Drake Troutman return behind the wheel of his Smith Transport No. 7 (virtual) Late Model at the (virtual) Lernerville Speedway for the two-day ML Perfomance iRacing Crown Jewel Series event. After timing in 22nd fastest in his qualifying group, Troutman fell two spots short of transferring into the preliminary feature with a seventh place finish in his heat. Needing a fifth place finish or better to make the preliminary feature, Drake was an early retiree from the 15-lapper.
Rolling off 10th in his B-Main on Tuesday for one last shot at the 100-lap feature, Drake dropped back to a 16th place outing.
On Friday evening, Troutman visited the famed (virtual) Fairbury (IL) Speedway returning with the ML Performance iRacing Crown Jewel Series for the two-day FALS Frenzy. With four 25-lap preliminary features setting the grid for the main event on Saturday night, Drake followed up the fifth fastest lap in his time trial group with the fourth and final transfer spot in his prelim.
Starting the $250-to-win A-Main in 15th on Saturday night, Troutman ran into trouble late in the 100-lapper that forced him to retire early.
