Troutman topped the Super Late Model field at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pa. for his ninth win of the season.
“First off, thank you to LaSalle Racing Engines for a great motor – so smooth and drivable,” said Troutman. “Also thank you to Mark Smith for his advice. Thank you to my sponsors, fans, and crew as well. I couldn’t do it without everyone’s support.”
Kicking off a busy weekend, Troutman took part in the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series doubleheader at Thunder Mountain Speedway in Knox Dale, Pa. Drawing 37 cars, Troutman laid down the 13th fastest time in Friday’s opener before placing seventh in his heat. Needing a fourth-place finish or better in his B-Main to make the opening night feature, Drake fell short with a fifth-place outing.
For another $10,000-to-win feature on Saturday night, Drake came in sixth in his heat, giving him one final shot at the A-Main with a B-Main appearance. Locking in the Top-3, Troutman suffered a broken water pump that brought an immediate end to his evening.
On Sunday, Drake stopped at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex. After starting the night off with a heat race victory to lock into the outside pole position for the feature, Drake cruised to his ninth win of the season.
