On Monday afternoon Drake Troutman visited the (virtual) Williams Grove (PA) Speedway competing in the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model iRacing Invitational. In a stout field of 49 cars, Troutman qualified 26th fastest overall in time trials before placing sixth in his heat race. Needing a third place finish or better in his B-Main to make the $1,000-to-win A-Main, Drake logged a fifth place outing.
Also on Monday night at the same venue with the ML Performance iRacing Crown Jewel Series, Troutman secured his spot into the preliminary feature with a fourth place finish in his heat. Locking the Top 8 from Monday night’s preliminary feature into the main event on Tuesday, Drake improved eight spots in the 20-lapper to place fourth.
Rolling off seventh, Drake battled in the Top-5 early but contact with another competitor on lap 29 dropped him back to a 17th place finish.
To wrap up the ML Performance iRacing Crown Jewel Series, Troutman headed to The (virtual) Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, North Carolina) on Friday night for the two-day World Finals. Getting taken out by another competitor in his heat while battling for a transfer spot, Drake logged a 10th place outing.
After sitting out the remainder of Friday night’s program, Drake recorded a seventh place finish in his heat, sending him into the B-Main for one final shot at the finale. Transferring the Top 7 into the A-Main, Troutman edged his way into the show with the seventh and final transfer spot. Starting in 27th, Drake Troutman was an early retiree from the 100-lapper.
