Drake Troutman returned to North Carolina on Friday and Saturday, where he competed in both Modified and Legends Car competition. By the time the weekend was over he had his third win of the year to show for his efforts.

“We made it to Halifax County Motor Speedway just in time for to crawl into my favorite Legends Car, ‘CORNBREAD’ and parked it in Victory Lane. Thank you as always to my good friends Willie and Shellie at Three Sixteen Motorsports for another opportunity to wheel one of their cars,” Troutman said. “We showed a lot of speed with the Modified and qualified fastest to earn the Modified for Saturday’s program. The feature had several cautions, and it made it hard to get a rhythm. We ended up second, but I feel like I had a better car than our result.

“We’re excited to be heading to Kansas this week to enter the King of America at Humboldt (Speedway).”

On Friday afternoon, Drake Troutman traveled to Halifax County Motor Speedway (Littleton, N.C.) to compete in both his Modified and the Three Sixteen Motorsports No. 19 Legend Car for the inaugural Mark Batten Memorial Race.

After topping the charts in time trials, Troutman parked the No. 19 Legend Car in victory lane for the third time of the season. He took the checkers ahead of Adam Benaway, Tristen Stephenson, Ryan Shabram, and Chad Garner.

In his Smith Transport No. 7 MB Customs Modified on Saturday, Drake followed up the quickest lap in qualifying with a second-place finish in the feature, which came behind Austin Holcombe.
