Troutman tackles Wild West Shootout in Chris Bragg Racing No. 7 at Vado
Drake Troutman and Chris Bragg Racing kicked off the 2024 season on Saturday afternoon at Vado Speedway (Vado, N.M.) for the 18th running of the Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout.
Pinned on sixth row for the opening night feature via a third-place finish in his heat, Troutman suffered a broken oil pump belt while running 11th that sidelined him on lap 32.
On Saturday, Drake followed up a fifth-place finish in his heat with a third-place run in his B-Main. Starting the $11,000-to-win A-Main in 22nd, Troutman marched forward 10 spots in the 40-lapper to register a 12th-place finish.
