Troutman scores pair of Top-10 outings in busy Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series trek
Following the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series into a busy week of competition, Drake Troutman started off his week with a pair of $10,000-to-win events at Eagle (Neb.) Raceway and Shelby County Speedway (Harlan, Iowa).
Scoring a Top-10 finish in the High Bank Heist on Monday, Troutman finished 13th the following evening before turning his attention to Huset's Speedway (Brandon, S.D.) for the remainder of the week.
For the three-day Silver Dollar Nationals event, Troutman started off strong on Thursday with a seventh-place finish before dealing with motor issues on Friday. For Saturday's $53,000-to-win finale, Drake was an early retiree and finished 20th.
In the point standings, Troutman currently sits seventh.
